3 ways to get the most out of #NHSA20th
We are so excited for the 20th anniversary of the National Haitian Students Conference. We have identified three things that can help you get the most out of the conference.
Do your research
What sessions you absolutely want to attend? What speakers do you absolutely need to hear?
NHSA speakers are all leaders in their respective fields, from politicians, technology, healthcare, Government, marketing guru, and much more. You will find a diverse set of expertise. Each speaker will offer their own experiences and opinions. This is a great opportunity to network to find new mentors and friends.
Our own technology leads interactive workshop is not a session you would want to miss as we will be showing you some cutting edge robotic technology.
Be ready to network
One of the most valuable pieces of advice I can give is to NETWORK.
Networking events are great opportunities to meet new people in similar fields with different perspectives and experiences. You never know who you will meet so be prepared.
Keep an open mind
One of the best parts of having a diverse set of people in one location is all their different perspectives. So perhaps your perspective differs from several others at the conference? There’s nothing wrong with differing opinions. Remember to keep an open mind and hear how everyone’s experiences have shaped how they would tackle a situation. Take notes, ask questions, and stay engaged in each session and conversation.
